I‘m Dylan. I‘m interested in joining in on your burgeoning Tuesday evening game. I‘m a German-American, father of two, teacher and recently rediscovered D&D. Currently I‘m running a game for the kids in my immediate neighborhood here in Friedrichshain. That‘s great, and I‘m sure it will continue in the coming years. But I‘d also like to be a player. Partly to learn what it‘s like to be on the other side, partly because it‘s just fun to play without having to do so much prep.
Playing in English would be nice for me, although I am fully bilingual. The source material is English, and not having to translate the keywords would be nice.
I‘d much prefer to play in person, rather than online. I could even imagine hosting the table, as there is enough space here for a group of players. That would mean that we‘d have my family (including my 8-year-old son, who is pretty into D&D now…) around some of the time.
Unfortunately, I would not help you meet your diversity goals. I definitely get where you‘re coming from on that. A game only guys - all of them white - just isn‘t as interesting as a table with more diverse backgrounds. But I am who I am.
